Crypto.com has launched cryptocurrency perpetual contracts for eligible US retail traders, offering leverage of up to 5x through the Crypto.com App and Crypto.com Exchange, according to an announcement today (Tuesday).
London's trading industry is coming home!
The launch follows Kraken's introduction of CFTC-regulated perpetual futures in the United States in June. The contracts are available through Kraken Pro, alongside spot trading, margin trading and CME-listed cryptocurrency futures.
Crypto.com had obtained a derivatives clearing organisation licence from the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission for its affiliate, Crypto.com Derivatives North America, in September 2025. The licence allows the affiliate to offer cleared margin derivatives, including cryptocurrency perpetuals, to US customers.
The US market has also seen other developments in the provision of cryptocurrency perpetuals through regulated channels. In July 2026, BitMEX planned closure and the regulatory routes available to firms seeking to offer these contracts to US customers. These include listing perpetuals on regulated exchanges and providing access to foreign contracts through registered futures intermediaries.
Kalshi has also expanded into cryptocurrency derivatives. Its crypto perpetual contracts generated more than $5.5 billion in trading volume during their first two weeks, according to the company, as reported by Finance Magnates in June 2026. The launch extended Kalshi's product offering beyond event contracts.
Crypto.com Expands Derivatives and Prediction Markets
Crypto.com and its prediction-markets business, OG, have also been involved in a separate commercial agreement with Robinhood. Robinhood had agreed to add Crypto.com's prediction-market contracts to its app and take minority stakes in Crypto.com and OG. The financial terms were not disclosed.
The newly launched perpetual contracts have no expiry date and allow traders to take long or short positions on supported cryptocurrencies. They also include take-profit and stop-loss orders and isolated margin, according to the announcement.

The offering operates through a derivatives framework involving OG.com and its affiliates. North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. is registered with the CFTC as a designated contract market and derivatives clearing organisation.
Foris DAX Inc. is registered with the National Futures Association as an introducing broker, according to the announcement.

Kalshi is showing up inside the Regulation theme, so this story is worth tracking for follow-through rather than treating it as a one-off headline.
