Follow us on Google NewsBloomberg is releasing a new stablecoin dashboard on the Bloomberg Terminal, making it possible to bring onchain market data right into the workflow of institutional investors.
It’s driven by blockchain data provider Allium and is backed by a stablecoin supply of over $300 billion.
Bloomberg Terminal Adds Stablecoin Market TrackingThe new dashboard will be offered via RWAS and morphs stablecoin analytics with BWFX’s current fixed-income, foreign exchange and money-market offerings.
It includes all stablecoin that have a circulation above $100 million which is more than 98% of the total market. Bloomberg also offers selected smaller assets, and stablecoins that are based on other currencies or commodities than the U.S. dollar.
Users can use circular supply, token issuance, burns, transfer volume and velocity to compare the assets. Current information will be updated once an hour and historical information will be updated a day-fresh.

Users Can Break Down Activity by BlockchainThe dashboard provides more insight into the performance of select stablecoins on various blockchains. Users can also quickly switch between an asset-level and blockchain-level view, to help them understand where the issuance and transfers are happening.
The assets can also be sorted by peg, such as the fiat currencies, commodities or any other stablecoins. This allows investors to have a solid understanding of the liquidity of the stablecoins in question rather than crossing multiple blockchain explorers and analytics sites.
Stablecoin Supply Tops $300BStablecoins have emerged as a key component of the crypto market infrastructure, having a circulatory supply of over $300 billion.
Now they are not just involved in crypto trading. Stablecoins are gaining traction as a means of settlement, for cross-border payments, and to transfer cash in tokenized financial systems.
They also now closely follow traditional markets, as large issuers have substantial quantities of short-dated U.S. government paper as their reserve assets.
Bloomberg’s new product puts that activity on a platform utilized by banks, asset management companies and institutional trading desks.

Bloomberg Expands Its Onchain Data PushThe stablecoin dashboard expands upon Bloomberg’s long-standing crypto expansion efforts.
Since 2014, Bitcoin pricing has been available at the Terminal, and Bloomberg now offers pricing, benchmarks and identifiers and reference data for over 50 institutional-relevant cryptocurrencies.
The firm has also created a portfolio level measure of direct and indirect crypto exposure.
Its collaboration with Allium pushes that strategy further by adding blockchain-native transaction data to the same environment institutions already use for traditional markets.
More recently though, Bloomberg has been pushing its oar into the tokenized-market space with other data partnerships, as part of a generica push for DeFi and traditional-capital market insights to combine in a single institutional workflow.
