TL;DR: Solayer Pay says its card app now accepts supported stablecoin deposits from Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain and Base without an additional bridging step.
Moving stablecoins from a crypto wallet to a payment card has often involved an awkward detour through another blockchain or exchange. Solayer Pay is trying to remove that step by accepting deposits from five popular networks directly into its card balance.
In an announcement dated Thursday evening in the United States, Solayer said users can now fund the app from Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain and Base. The product supports deposits using eligible dollar-pegged tokens such as USDC and USDT on the supported chains.
The network problem behind a simple purchaseA dollar-backed token issued on one blockchain is not interchangeable at the technical level with a version on another network. A person might own USDT on BNB Chain while their payment app previously accepted deposits only on Solana. Bridging or exchanging the funds introduces extra steps, network fees and the possibility of using the wrong address.
Solayer says its new deposit flow lets users choose the network where their supported tokens already reside and credit a common Solayer Pay balance. Once deposited, that balance can be spent using virtual or physical cards where available, with the app also supporting compatible mobile wallets and peer-to-peer payments.
The company says more than 45,000 cardholders use the product. Solayer Pay was introduced as the Emerald Card in April 2025, with a physical card added later. Those are company-reported distribution metrics rather than independently audited payment volumes.
Spending is not the same as self-custodyThe convenience comes with a change in the user's relationship to the assets. Once money is deposited into an app balance, customers need to understand which provider holds it, how withdrawals work and what rules apply if an account is restricted or a supported chain becomes congested.
Geographic eligibility and identity-verification requirements also matter. A Visa-linked card program's global acceptance network does not automatically mean that every person worldwide can obtain the card or deposit every stablecoin.
Still, the launch addresses a real weakness in current crypto payments: users are asked to understand blockchain routing before making ordinary purchases. Removing some of that complexity could be commercially useful even if the underlying payment ultimately settles through existing card networks.
The next question is whether stablecoin deposits translate into meaningful card use. That is a harder measure of adoption than the number of available networks or wallets.

Why this matters
BNB is showing up inside the Stablecoins theme, so this story is worth tracking for follow-through rather than treating it as a one-off headline.
