Ethereum is trying to stabilize after another volatile stretch, with price returning toward the mid-$2,400 region while several positioning signals begin to turn more constructive. According to Brave New Coin, ETH is trading around $2,460.98, up 0.52% over the past 24 hours.
Ethereum Sees Short-term Breakout Above $2,415Ethereum has started recovering from the latest drop, but the lower-timeframe structure still shows unfinished resistance overhead. Crypto Tony’s intraday chart highlights repeated rejection around the recent local high, with price struggling to convert rebound attempts into a clean structural breakout.
The chart places immediate support around the $2,380-$2,370 region, where buyers previously stepped in after the latest decline. Holding above that area would allow ETH price to continue building a base, but the recovery needs to extend through the nearby resistance and ultimately reclaim $2,415 before the short-term trend begins to look materially stronger.
Ethereum price has already produced several rebound attempts during the correction. A move above resistance that quickly fails would leave price vulnerable to another retest lower, whereas sustained acceptance above $2,415 would begin shifting attention back towards $2,500 and the next higher resistance zone.

Whale Rotates $155 Million Into ETH Near $2,460Large-holder activity is beginning to strengthen the bullish case around Ethereum. Lookonchain data shared by Cointelegraph shows one whale selling approximately 1,917.7 BTC worth $159 million over the past 11 days while buying 64,545 ETH valued at roughly $155 million.
That rotation puts Ethereum at the center of attention, especially while ETH is trying to stabilize around the $2,400-$2,500 region. The whale is building a sizable position during weakness, which adds to the idea that larger investors are becoming more interested in Ethereum before a stronger recovery is confirmed.

If ETH price can now reclaim nearby resistance and begin holding higher, this kind of whale accumulation would add more weight to the recovery narrative. For now, the transaction stands out as one of the stronger demand-side signals developing around Ethereum.
ETH Longs Surge as Shorts Collapse Near $2,460Ethereum’s derivatives positioning is becoming increasingly bullish as traders reduce short exposure and build long positions around the current range. Data shared by Trader Symba shows ETH shorts falling from above 14,000 to roughly 3,000, while long exposure has climbed from below 100 million to around 365 million.

That shift puts more attention on Ethereum’s ability to turn positioning into price strength. Traders are clearly leaning toward the upside before ETH price has fully cleared resistance, which suggests growing confidence that the current base can support another recovery attempt.
If Ethereum begins reclaiming the $2,500 area, the buildup in longs could help strengthen momentum while the reduction in shorts removes some of the pressure that had been weighing on price. Until then, the derivatives market is signaling a much stronger bullish bias than it was earlier in the correction.
Ethereum Price Prediction Targeting $8,800Ethereum’s longer-term setup places the current market inside what Merlin The Trader identifies as a major accumulation zone between roughly $2,270 and $2,500. Rather than treating the recent weakness as the end of the broader cycle, the roadmap views this range as the area where longer-term positions can begin to build.
The next stage comes around $3,000-$3,300. A recovery into that region would represent an important shift in structure and provide stronger evidence that Ethereum is moving out of accumulation and back into expansion. The plan therefore increases exposure only after price begins confirming the recovery rather than relying on the current base alone.
If that larger trend develops, the roadmap eventually targets the $8,800 region, with the broader distribution zone extending toward approximately $11,500. Those levels remain longer-term objectives, but the sequence makes the present $2,270-$2,500 range particularly important: holding the base and eventually reclaiming $3,000-$3,300 would keep the higher Ethereum price prediction in play.

Ethereum Short-Term Indicators Are OversoldEthereum’s short-term indicators have cooled enough to leave more room for a recovery attempt. The 2-hour RSI has fallen back toward 47 after being much stronger earlier, showing that the market has worked off a large part of its previous momentum without dropping into a deeply oversold condition.
The MACD is still negative, but the recent reset means ETH is no longer stretched on the upside. If buying pressure starts to return, both RSI and MACD now have more space to turn higher alongside price, which could support another recovery move from the current area.
Looking Ahead: What Traders Should Watch NextThe next move will likely depend on whether Ethereum can turn the current stabilization into a stronger reclaim. The first level to watch is the $2,400 area, which is where price is trying to base again. If that zone continues to hold, traders will likely start looking back toward $2,455 and then the recent recovery high near $2,500, where the last upside attempt ran into trouble.
If buyers can reclaim $2,500, the structure starts to improve and the conversation can shift back toward higher resistance levels. If not, and ETH price loses the $2,370-$2,400 support band, then the recent recovery starts to look more like another temporary bounce inside a weaker range. In that case, traders would likely turn their focus back toward the lower support pocket around $2,345.
Why this matters
Ethereum is showing up inside the Layer 2 theme, so this story is worth tracking for follow-through rather than treating it as a one-off headline.
