Follow us on Google NewsRipple is deepening its ties with Robinhood in a deal that connects stablecoin adoption with institutional crypto infrastructure. Announced on October 27, 2026, the partnership spans retail access, institutional settlement, corporate treasury operations, and digital asset financing.
RLUSD Expands Across Robinhood’s Crypto EcosystemRipple’s dollar-pegged stablecoin, RLUSD, will play a central role in the expanded partnership. The token already exists in Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp by Robinhood, and it should be out in the Robinhood app later this year.
Ripple also intends to integrate RLUSD on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) for institutional settlement, taking the stablecoin beyond retail crypto transactions.
According to Ripple, RLUSD has raised its market cap to over $2.4 billion since it was launched in December 2024. Robinhood, meanwhile, has 28.6 million funded customers worldwide and provides access to a large retail and institutional financial network in that area.
Both companies have not revealed a retail launch date, any volume of transactions and financial value of the deal.

Robinhood Adds Ripple Treasury and Institutional FinancingIt’s not just about the distribution of the stablecoins. Through the integration of Ripple Treasury, Robinhood will automate various Robinhood financial functions, like cash management, liquidity, payment, cash-flow forecasting and risk management.
The integration will aim to make Robinhood’s own finance administration across business units and markets simpler.
Ripple Prime Expands Trading and Financing AccessBitstamp by Robinhood will also improve their already existing partnership with Ripple Prime. Lending and margin financing for about 20 digital assets are currently available, and there is a Bitstamp spot trading service for Ripple Prime clients.
The announcement indicates that Bitstamp plans to roll out perpetual futures trading later in 2026. These services empower stablecoins to be matched with settlement and financing services, ultimately establishing a wider linkage between the two firms beyond a mere listing of tokens.

Stablecoins Move Beyond Crypto TradingThe deal comes at a time when the stablecoin market continues to grow. Stablecoin supplies have climbed above $300 billion, with the growing influence of tokens pegged to the U.S. dollar, according to Ripple.
Stablecoins can help with the settlement and payment aspects of the blockchain and lower the risk of price fluctuations of assets like XRP and Bitcoin. However, the usefulness in institutional markets is determined by liquidity, regulation and suitability to integrate with the existing financial systems.
The co-operation doesn’t mandate that RB has to buy XRP or that it be a bridge asset in every transaction conducted within RLUSD. The announcement, however, particularizes RLUSD for institutional placement on XRPL, as well as separate integrations of treasury and financing.
