XRP Lands on Denny Crum CourtThe new deal will place the XRP logo at Denny Crum Court for Louisville home basketball games against men and women.
A presence that’s highly visible around one of the university’s most prominent sports programs. Here the campaign is not about blockchain infrastructure or crypto-native events, but rather it is about XRP’s brand front and center for college basketball fans.
The deal brings a new big name from the United States into Ripple’s growing sports approach.

Ripple Builds a College Sports Network Kansas and Florida Set the PatternEarlier in 2026, Ripple also inked a deal with Kansas Athletics, putting XRP’s branding on a Kansas athletic uniform. The agreement marked a notable move for crypto branding in major college sports.
The company eventually branched out into college football, by signing a deal with the University of Florida. XRP branding was also shown across football related branding and digital properties at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, providing a high level of visibility.
With the three deals to now bring exposure to the Ripple brand in basketball, football, and college sports, there are several new avenues for XRP to get exposure beyond the typical Bitcoin channels.
The approach is also part of Ripple’s broader partnership with universities via its University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), launched in 2018 to fund blockchain research, education and technical innovation.
From Crypto Research to Mainstream VisibilityRipple’s university program goes beyond the academic blockchain program. UBRI has helped establish relationships between Ripple and universities around blockchain and financial technology. By bringing a university presence to high-profile consumer scenes, sports sponsorships turn that university around in a new way.
The Louisville deal, however, is mostly a branding deal centered on the information supplied by the university and Ripple. The release doesn’t say the team plans to accept XRP on tickets, merchandise or in the athletic-department.
That is very key to understanding what the deal is about – increased brand and not the disclosure of a new source of on-chain utility.
Louisville brings the Utah Utes’ XRP ahead, and it is steadily growing its presence in major US college sports. The deal is producing another high-profile physical space for the token, and also ruling its audience to those not already part of the crypto crowd.
