Solana has been making a lot of headlines this year. It’s been just revealed that in a move that will be integrating blockchain wallets and privacy-focused browsers, Solana revealed a business partnership with Brave browser.
In a press release, Brave said that Solana will be getting access to more than 40 million users on the browser and more than 1 million creators.
“Brave will integrate the Solana blockchain into the Brave browser, providing default Solana ecosystem support to Brave’s 42 million monthly active users and 1.3 million verified Creators.”
It’s been also revealed that the privacy-focused browser said that Solana’s native and cross-chain decentralized applications (DApps) will soon be the default on Brave.
Brave also says the partnership is driven by “user and developer demand,” cost-considerations and the need to boost the adoption of decentralized finance (DeFi) and decentralized networks.
“The Solana blockchain enables faster low-fee transactions which help in the adoption of DeFi and Web3. High transaction fees seen on Ethereum (due to increased interest in crypto and DeFi) have held some users back from transacting.”
The same notes revealed the following:
“Solana is the fastest blockchain in the world and provides the opportunity to scale blockchain transactions for as little as $0.001-$0.002 USD per transaction, providing significant cost savings for users.”
Solana to follow Ethereum’s rallyIt’s been just revealed that the macro guru Raoul Pal says smart contract platform Solana (SOL) and stablecoin-focused blockchain payment system Terra (LUNA) could be following the same parabolic price trajectory of Ethereum in 2016.
He also said that both SOL and LUNA are following Ethereum’s first bull cycle.
“But I thought, well, if my logic about Metcalfe’s Law is right, then these layer-1s that we’ll talk about later should also fit. And bizarrely, here’s the chart of Solana against Ethereum in the last cycle, when Ethereum was the darling, the new breakthrough. It’s exactly following. And the same is true of Terra. It’s exactly following.”
