CryptoQuant data cited by analyst Darkfrost shows that traders are pulling unusually large amounts of BTC from Binance, pointing to a major change in how market participants are positioning their coins.
Binance sees record Outflows since 2023 amid Bitcoin FOMO 🟢
Bitcoin has entered a bullish dynamic that’s different from previous rebounds. Since it’s high in July, BTC has delivered a performance of roughly 45%. This rally notably broke through an important structural point,… pic.twitter.com/jIqyIvdKXt

Binance Sees Its Biggest BTC Outflow Since 2023The key player here is the 13,800-plus BTC that exited Binance in 1 day. According to Darkfrost, this was the largest net Bitcoin flow out of the exchange since 2023.
This change doesn’t have to be limited to one session. Binance’s netflow has been negative and averaged around 2,000 BTC per week, with its reported BTC holding reducing from ~705,000 to ~685,000 BTC over four days.
Darkfrost says Binance accounts for approximately 30% of the Bitcoin residing in all exchanges within all investors’ reach. This creates a stark difference in its exchange balance, especially in how fast it moves as on-chain market watchers track it.
CryptoQuant offers exchange flow and reserve data which detail the movement of cryptocurrencies across exchanges and other wallets.

Outflows Do Not Automatically Mean AccumulationWhen BTC is removed from an exchange, this doesn’t expose the owner’s intentions, as well as removing the stock that may be open to trade.
Coins may go to private custodial wallets or institutional custody, other exchanges, or other arrangements in internal storage. For this reason, exchange outflows are more likely a sort of supply-flow checker than evidence of an imminent long-term buying spree by investors.
Bitcoin Rally Adds Fuel to the Withdrawal WaveWhat caught the attention on the latest data is the timing of the Binance withdrawals. Bitcoin is up about 45% from its position in July and has found a resistance point at $82,000 as it has closed back above multiple times, Darkfrost said. The analyst continues to view BTC accumulation going on despite the rising prices.
It gives rise to a different market environment than a coin-flow and then just to exchanges for active trading.
Rather, Bitcoin is climbing while a massive amount of BTC is simultaneously exiting one of the largest industry trading venues. If they’re not part of exchanges, there is less available on Binance immediately.

Latecomer FOMO Enters the Bitcoin MarketAnother reason for extremely high withdrawals from Darkfrost, is the fact that people may have been waiting for a correction before getting back into the game if they were late.
The early phase of the bull market may have been too challenging for investors who saw BTC plummet before. When price levels are conquered by a strong hike, that behavior can flip rapidly, needing these side line clients to bid up.
The result can be a feedback loop in which rising prices attract new demand while existing holders move BTC away from exchanges.
