Jason Calacanis, the early Uber investor and All-In podcast co-host, urged his followers to sell their bitcoin and put the money into artificial intelligence instead, posting on X early Tuesday that “a brutal year for Bitcoin is just getting started.”
Calacanis made three predictions in the post. He said outflows from bitcoin exchange-traded funds “will continue,” that the price will “test the 57k low again in the next 12 months,” and that “Bitcoin will never break its all-time high again.”
“Just sell and shift from Bitcoin to Super Intelligence because one provides little to no value, and the other provides unlimited upside for humanity,” he wrote.

Why He Says SellCalacanis argued that investors now have “far too many dynamic places to put your money that are creating MUCH more value,” and described bitcoin as a network “that offers nothing beyond a store of value.” He added that “no one is trying to convince people to buy Bitcoin anymore,” and that the memes and NFTs that once drove interest had faded.
Long BittensorCalacanis also said he is long Bittensor, a decentralized network for AI models whose token trades as TAO. He wrote that he loves “bittensor’s focus on scaling AI” in a reply to his own post 22 minutes later.
What the Data ShowsBitcoin traded at about $79,787 on Tuesday morning, according to CoinGecko’s price page, roughly 37% below its all-time high of $126,080, set on Oct. 6, 2025.
CoinGecko’s daily price data puts bitcoin’s lowest reading of the past year at about $58,566, on July 1, 2026. Intraday prices can dip below those daily figures.
Fund flows this month have been mixed. U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs recorded net outflows of about $202.1 million in October through Oct. 26, according to SoSoValue data, across 10 days of inflows and eight days of outflows. Outflows of about $635.5 million on Oct. 22 came one day after the funds took in about $528.4 million.
Earlier CallsCalacanis has a long history of being skeptical of Bitcoin. In August, he asked on X whether bitcoin would ever reach $1 million, or even $250,000, and said he believed Strategy co-founder Michael Saylor “broke the game of bitcoin by trying to corner the market.” In September, he compared bitcoin’s move near $81,000 to a dead cat bounce, a post that drew responses from Saylor and ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood. In 2018, Calacanis said there was a 60% to 70% chance Bitcoin went to zero. It was trading around $3,700 at the time.
