Key Takeaways:
- Crypto.com unveiled OG, a new prediction market platform focusing on sports and other events
- First 1 million users can receive the reward of up to $500, showing that this platform is heading to fast growth speed
- The service operates under the management of CFTC and plan to supplement leveraged prediction trading
Crypto.com recently introduced OG, a prediction-market app on its own, which is also seeking to increase its reach in event trading regulated by the brokerage. It was rolled out once they noticed rapid expansion in the prediction-market space, hence they turned it into its own site.
OG Debuts as a Regulated Prediction Markets PlatformOG allows users to trade on the outcome of real-world events, including sports championships, economic indicators, entertainment results, and cultural trends. The platform combines a social-style interface with derivatives infrastructure powered by Crypto.com’s U.S.-regulated affiliate.
Users can access sports event contracts approved under U.S. regulatory oversight, giving OG a more structured approach compared with many offshore prediction platforms. The service is initially focused on the U.S. market, where regulatory clarity has started to shape how prediction markets operate.
Crypto.com said the first one million signups will be eligible for reward incentives worth up to $500, a move aimed at accelerating adoption during the early phase of the rollout.

Rapid Growth Pushes Crypto.com Into Standalone ExpansionAccording to company leadership, prediction markets inside the Crypto.com ecosystem saw around 40x weekly growth over the last six months. That momentum encouraged the firm to build OG as its own product rather than keeping the feature inside the main app.
Nick Lundgren, Crypto.com chief legal officer as well, is becoming OG CEO. He has experience in rolling out federally licensed sport events contracts in the US, so he understands how to integrate the new platform into the already existing compliance world.
Crypto.com is currently set to launch margin-based prediction contracts through its licensed futures commission merger when the latter receives the ultimate green light. In case it occurs, OG would be one of the first to combine margin trading and regulated prediction markets.

Social Features and Leaderboards Target Mainstream UsersTrade is not the only thing with OG. It includes social functionality which allows users to share their predictions, compare their performance and climb up leaderboards. According to Crypto.Com, this combination consists of entertainment, information-based trading, which is a consumer app and a derivatives trading platform combined.
The introduction of OG is opportune as, at this point, the prediction-market landscape is becoming increasingly hot and rivalry is intensifying.
