Fasset Secures $68M Series CThe latest round comes after Fasset’s $51 million raise in May, which was the last major capital injection in a span of a few months.
CEO and co-founder Mohammad Raafi Hossain said the company was built around the idea that access to financial opportunities should not depend on geography. Fasset is targeting markets where cross-border payments and access to global financial services remain costly or fragmented.

Its platform now facilitates the processing of over $40 billion in transactions annually in 125 countries, the company says.
Fasset also said the business is doing well, with Hossain stating that revenue is up about sixfold year over year. He said it has been profitable for 12 months, but Fasset hasn’t publicized detailed revenue or profit measures.

Stablecoins Sit Behind Fasset’s Payment NetworkFasset’s financial products utilize stablecoins in connection with settlement infrastructure. While stablecoins do the heavy lifting, users can seamlessly switch between bank accounts, currencies, payment products, and other assets.
It’s designed for cross-border payments, where it can have several intermediaries and require multiple transactions in different currencies.
Own Network Expands Global Crypto RailsFasset is the founder of Own Network – an Ethereum Layer 2 with Arbitrum technology. It links up over 100 banking corridors with banks, payment companies, telecom companies and liquidity providers.
The agreement will raise the firm’s capital so that it can invest in the infrastructure and AI-powered transaction routing capabilities. These systems are designed to determine payment routes, currencies, liquidity sources, and settlement methods based on a variety of criteria, including costs, speed, and availability.
The strategy’s core focus is the stablecoin as a central component of Fasset’s payments platform and not as just a crypto asset for trading or transferring.
SBI Deepens Its Crypto PushSBI Group’s investment helps it tie up Fasset and access one of Japan’s largest financial groups.
SBI has been building on its crypto mix with investments and partnerships in various cryptocurrency businesses, payment and blockchain-native firms. It owns shares in Ripple, Circle and crypto liquidity provider B2C2.
Fasset has additionally collaborated with SBI Remit regarding the stablecoin cross-border payment obstructions. The collaboration seeks to bridge the connection of remittance systems and blockchain systems in the settlement process.
With the new funding, Fasset will go big on payment corridors, fortifying its blockchain payments foundations and creating more financial products built on stablecoins. The firm also aims to strengthen the bridge between digital and traditional finance in the Asia region and other emerging markets.
