KuCoin Türkiye has announced new developments to strengthen its position in the Turkish crypto market. The most notable of these is the appointment of Rıdvan Bahadır as the new Deputy General Manager, coupled with KuCoin Türkiye’s grand sponsorship of the upcoming Istanbul Blockchain Week.
AML Expert
According to a statement by the exchange, Bahadır’s appointment will boost KuCoin Türkiye. With a background in anti-money laundering (AML) and countering the financing of terrorism (CFT), Bahadır has experience in regulatory compliance.
Before joining KuCoin Türkiye, he served at MASAK, the Financial Crimes Investigation Board under the Turkish Ministry of Finance and Treasury. The company expects his experience to be key to maintaining high compliance and security standards.
“Joining KuCoin Türkiye as the Deputy General Manager, I am deeply committed to strengthening our role and upholding the highest standards of compliance and security. In today's rapidly evolving crypto landscape, maintaining robust compliance is crucial not only for building trust but also for ensuring the long-term sustainability of our platform,” Bahadır said in a statement.
Besides the leadership changes, KuCoin Türkiye is taking a prominent role at Istanbul Blockchain Week, one of the region’s premier blockchain events. As a grand sponsor, the company will provide a networking lounge, offering participants a space to connect, share insights, and engage in discussions about the future of cryptocurrency and Web3 technology.
Supporting Local Crypto Community
The exchange has welcomed the opportunity, saying it aligns with its mission of promoting innovation and supporting the local crypto community. Attendees at the event will reportedly have the opportunity to meet with the KuCoin Türkiye team and participate in various activities that showcase the platform’s offerings.
Last month, KuCoin's Visa debit card KuCard announced the integration of multiple virtual and physical cards to enable users to manage multiple cards and access a cashback program. The platform promised enhanced financial flexibility for personal use, managing family expenses, or keeping separate cards for different spending categories with the new service.
This feature reportedly enables budgeting, improved expense tracking, and better access to funds. Users can also access KuCard's crypto-to-fiat conversion and cashback rewards.
