Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has appointed Intae Song as Chief Sales Officer (CSO), the company announced today (Tuesday). Song, who has been with the firm since 2020, most recently served as a Business Partner at the exchange.
Bitget Names Intae Song as Chief Sales Officer
Song entered the cryptocurrency sector in 2017 as a personal investor before joining Bitget in 2020 in a sales role. He was appointed Head of Sales in 2021 and became a Business Partner in 2023.
Now, after nearly two years, he is returning to the position of CSO. He will work to enhance Bitget's competitive edge in the futures market while developing institutional-grade trading solutions and advanced risk management tools, according to the company's announcement.
“Over the years, Intae has played a huge role in shaping our strategy and driving our expansion,” said Gracy Chen, CEO at Bitget. “We're confident he'll continue to help us scale further and take Bitget to new heights.”
In August of last year, the company made another high-profile hire: Hon Ng, former Binance Legal Chief, joined the team as the new Chief Legal Officer.
100 Million Users
The appointment comes as Bitget reports having over 100 million users across more than 150 countries and regions. According to the company, Song will focus on strengthening Bitget's futures trading market presence while exploring new growth opportunities.
In the meantime, the Bitget Wallet surged past 60 million users, marking a 300% growth in 2024.
“When I first joined Bitget, it was a rising platform with immense potential. Today, it stands as a major force in the industry,” said Song. “The futures market remains our strongest pillar, and my goal is to make it the undisputed leader.”
Established in 2018, Bitget offers cryptocurrency trading services including spot and futures trading along with copy trading features. The company also operates a multi-chain cryptocurrency wallet, formerly known as BitKeep.
Sports Partnerships
The exchange has established several sports partnerships, serving as the Official Crypto Partner of LALIGA in certain regions.
“Over the last decade, digitalization and innovation have been among LALIGA's priorities,” Javier Tebas, president of LALIGA, commented on the partnership. “Last season, we made this a priority under the umbrella of our New Era, which emphasized technology: we want to be pioneers, and we are committed to it.”
Moreover, the crypto exchange is partnering with Turkish national athletes including wrestling world champion Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu.
