Bitget Wallet said on Tuesday it has integrated Reality, a regulated tokenized-asset issuer, letting the wallet’s users trade more than 1,700 tokenized US stocks and ETFs directly from self-custody. The pitch is familiar: exposure to Nvidia, Tesla and Apple without a foreign brokerage account or giving up control of the assets. The wrinkle is who owns the new supplier.
Reality is not a third party. Bitget launched it in May, and the announcement’s own boilerplate calls Reality “proudly part of the Bitget ecosystem.” That makes this a house wallet adding a house issuer, the third tokenized-equity provider it now carries after Ondo and xStocks.
How the tokens workReality’s tokens, called rTokens, are backed 1:1 by shares held at Alpaca Securities, a FINRA-registered and SIPC-member broker-dealer, with reserves attested daily by an outside accounting firm, according to the company. During US market hours, Bitget said, orders route to underlying Nasdaq and NYSE liquidity rather than to isolated onchain pools. Dividends are paid to users in stablecoins, and stock splits are reflected automatically. The tokens are live on the Arbitrum and Morph chains.
“Most users globally have had no viable path to U.S. equity exposure, not because of lack of demand, but because the infrastructure was either inaccessible or required giving up custody,” Alvin Kan, chief operating officer of Bitget Wallet, said in the announcement.
A crowded, contested fieldThe launch lands in the middle of a fight over what a tokenized stock actually is. AMC’s chief executive this month called Robinhood’s tokenized shares “vile” and brought in securities counsel, and Robinhood responded on Tuesday by promising in-kind redemptions and voting rights. Regulators are still drawing the lines, with the SEC’s planned stock-token exemption likely to let companies opt out, Securitize’s Brett Redfearn said last week.
Bitget offered one figure for demand: RWA trading volume on the wallet grew 27% quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter of 2026, though it did not give a starting number. Reality’s own product page listed about $150 million in total value locked as of Tuesday.
