Bybit is adding 24/7 FX perpetuals to the account structure it uses for crypto derivatives, while keeping them separate from its MetaTrader 5-based CFD service.
The exchange listed perpetual contracts on EURUSDUSDT, GBPUSDUSDT and USDJPYUSDT on Tuesday. Each product offers leverage of up to 100x and tracks the corresponding spot currency pair without an expiry date.

The contracts settle in USDT and trade through Bybit’s Unified Trading Account, allowing users to keep the positions inside the same account environment as crypto derivatives.
Bybit said the contracts can be traded 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including when the underlying spot FX market is closed. The exchange presents that schedule as a way for traders to respond to central-bank statements, geopolitical developments and other macro events outside conventional currency-market hours.
However, the initial contract specifications do not identify the price data sources or explain how the reference price will be handled while the underlying market is closed.
Bybit said it may adjust parameters including leverage, margin rates, funding rates and price sources. The products can be used for directional trading or to hedge currency exposure while retaining crypto collateral.
As perpetual contracts, they use recurring funding payments to keep their prices aligned with the underlying markets rather than settling on a fixed expiry date.
Separate from Bybit’s MT5 CFDs
The new listings expand Bybit’s native TradFi Perpetuals range, which already includes contracts linked to precious metals, oil and major company shares. These products operate through the existing Unified Trading Account and remain available continuously.
They are distinct from Bybit CFD, the service previously branded as Bybit TradFi. The CFD offering uses a dedicated MT5 account and follows the trading hours of its underlying markets.
It provides more than 70 FX pairs and over 400 instruments, with leverage of up to 500x on currencies. Bybit joins a limited group of crypto exchanges offering FX perpetuals.
Kraken introduced five such contracts in April 2025 with leverage of up to 50x and prices benchmarked to dxFeed composite indices.
Traditional FX operator LMAX Group moved in the opposite direction in September 2025, launching USD-settled BTC/USD and ETH/USD perpetual futures. Bybit’s addition instead brings established currency pairs into crypto’s perpetual-contract and collateral model.
