Coinbase has been making headlines a lot lately. A couple of days ago, it’s been revealed that the crypto exchange Coinbase added support for the Ledger.
According to the official notes, the Coinbase Wallet browser extension now supports Ledger Hardware Wallets. This means you now have an additional layer of security for your crypto, NFTs, and more when using your Coinbase Wallet browser extension.
Charles Hamel, VP Product at Ledger, stated the following:
“this new feature gives Coinbase users a world-leading security option and peace of mind when holding their crypto and NFTs.”
It’s also important to note the fact that Ledger enables you to manage your digital assets from within the security of your Nano hardware wallet and with your digital assets hack-proof.
This important integration comes following the rollout of the full standalone functionality of the Coinbase Wallet extension in November, which enables users to explore decentralized apps (DApps), trade on decentralized exchanges, and collect non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on their web browser without confirming transactions from their mobile phones.
Rolling out support for wallet extension and mobile appsThe exchange made sure to highlight the fact that it will roll out support for more hardware wallets for both the Coinbase Wallet extension and mobile apps in the future.
“Today’s launch is just the beginning – we will continue to build out support for more hardware wallets across all of our users’ devices.”
The notes also revealed the following:
“We will soon also add support for users with multiple active wallet addresses on a single Ledger device to select which address they want to use with Coinbase Wallet.”
Other than this, the crypto market looks great today, following a correction that we saw the other day. Now, the most important coins are trading in the green and there are all kinds of optimistic predictions popping up in the crypto space.
