There are rumors circulating that Elon Musk’s social media platform, X (previously known as Twitter), will introduce an “X coin” to compensate creators. However, Musk has denied these rumors.
Musk addresses rumoursA user with the X News Daily account shared a post suggesting that the platform might be considering launching a coin for creators, to which Musk simply replied “no.”
The famous billionaire purchased X/Twitter in October 2022, following a prolonged negotiation process that began in April of the same year.
There is no denying that Musk has a soft spot for Dogecoin, a popular memecoin.
He has been known to make occasional comments about the cryptocurrency over the years, even mentioning it in an interview with the Wall Street Journal in May.
According to the billionaire, Dogecoin stands out as his favorite cryptocurrency due to its great sense of humor and cute dog motif.
Musk’s friend once said that the most ironic explanation is often the most likely outcome, and as a joke cryptocurrency, Dogecoin becoming the global currency would certainly fit that bill.
Reports have circulated throughout the year that Musk intends to introduce crypto payments on X.
Back in July, we revealed the fact that the co-founder of Dogecoin (DOGE), a popular memecoin, has shown interest in billionaire Elon Musk’s new artificial intelligence (AI) project.
Musk has launched a new AI startup called xAI, directly competing with ChatGPT, a widely used AI tool for chatbot services. Musk, who co-founded OpenAI in 2015 and developed ChatGPT, proclaims that xAI’s objective is to “understand reality.”
DOGE co-founder Billy Markus, also known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto on Twitter, commented on Musk’s announcement, acknowledging the potential of the xAI project.
Markus expressed his anticipation to try out the AI’s “internet keyboard warrior” mode and engage in trivial arguments, particularly since it’s trained on Twitter.
In a recent Twitter Spaces event, Musk discussed xAI and outlined his vision. Rather than enforcing morality into the AI, he plans to make it “maximally curious” to ensure its safety.
