Just In: U.S. Judge Rebuffs SEC Request for Binance.US Asset Freeze

According to the latest reports, it seems that a judge has just rebuffed the SEC request for Binance.US asset freeze. Check out the latest reports about this below.

Case of SEC against Binance

The federal judge ordered the Securities and Exchange Commission and Binance lawyers to keep negotiating about limits on the company. The entity asked that they report back to her by Thursday.

“The federal judge overseeing the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s case against Binance and Binance.US declined to order a temporary restraining order freezing the U.S. trading platform’s assets,” CoinDesk notes.

That would allow the U.S. arm of the company to continue doing business while hashing out restrictions with the regulator, according to the online publication.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson, of the D.C. District Court, said “there’s absolutely no need” for a restraining order, but only of the sides can come to an agreement.

“In the meantime, the judge ordered Binance.US to provide a list of its business expenses to the court, and ordered the parties to continue negotiating. A status update is due by close of business Thursday,” the online publication mentioned above notes.

Binance will not sell BTC

“Binance have not sold BTC or BNB,” CZ said Tuesday on Twitter. “We even still have a bag of FTT. It is amazing they can know exactly who sold based on just a price chart involving millions of traders. FUD.”

The comments came as the exchange is embroiled in a legal dispute with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission over allegations of major malfeasance and legal violations at its Binance.US unit the regulator argues should result in prohibiting the company from having more business connections in the country.
