Robinhood in Talks to Add Crypto.com Event Contracts as Kalshi Rivalry Sharpens

Robinhood Markets is in talks with Crypto.com about adding the exchange’s prediction market contracts to its app, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter. The arrangement would let Robinhood customers trade yes-or-no contracts supplied by Crypto.com without leaving the brokerage’s platform, though the discussions may not produce a deal.

Robinhood currently sources event contracts from Kalshi, Interactive Brokers’ ForecastEx and Rothera, a CFTC-licensed exchange and clearinghouse it invested in alongside Susquehanna International Group in 2025. A Robinhood was quoted by the Journal as saying the platform intends to keep working with multiple exchanges. Crypto.com runs its prediction markets through Crypto.com Derivatives North America, a CFTC-registered exchange and clearinghouse, and launched a standalone platform called OG in February.

Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour told the Journal last month that he considers Robinhood a leading competitor even as Kalshi keeps supplying it.

More than 16 billion event contracts have traded on Robinhood this year, compared with more than 12 billion across all of last year. However, the Journal reported that Robinhood customers have made up a shrinking share of Kalshi’s volume since Rothera launched.
