Ethereum’s founder Vitalik Buterin is addressing the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. He said that while Ethereum is a neutral project, he as a person is not.
He made sure to denounce Russia’s invasion and he took to Twitter to blast Russian president Vladimir Putin’s decision to launch the latest attack.
Here’s what he said in a tweet that the Daily Hodl translated from Russian:
“Very upset by Putin’s decision to abandon the possibility of a peaceful solution to the dispute with Ukraine and go to war instead.”
He continued and said this:
“This is a crime against the Ukrainian and Russian people. I want to wish everyone security, although I know that there will be no security. Glory to Ukraine.”
As the online publication mentioned above notes, in another tweet, Buterin said that the top smart contract platform itself is impartial.
“Reminder: Ethereum is neutral, but I am not.”
Just in case you didn’t know, Buterin was born in Russia back in 1994 and he moved to Canada in 2000.
Ethereum’s trajectory is admired by Charles HoskinsonThe other day, we revealed that Cardano’s founder Charles Hoskinson is praising the trajectory of Ethereum. He said that there are a lot of things that he’s currently admiring in the rival smart contract platform.
In a new YouTube video, Hoskinson made sure to highlight the fact that Ethereum’s vibrant ecosystem of scaling solutions such as rollup is something that Cardano can aspire to.
“[Ethereum’s layer-2] ecosystem is fascinating, roll-ups in particular. There’s a lot of magic there and I admire that greatly. And I think we can do better as an ecosystem…”
