Ambire, the open-source self-custodial wallet, launched an incentivized, gamified campaign that allows the early users of the extension beta to seamlessly adopt smart accounts and Account abstraction.
While Ambire launched Legends publicly, the Ambire extension is still in Closed Beta with Ambire selectively adding new testers. At some point users who reach certain levels will begin earning $WALLET tokens, with rewards proportional to their portfolio balance. A total of 195 million $WALLET tokens have been allocated for onboarding incentives for the Ambire browser extension. The goal is not only to drive migration to smart accounts but also to educate the community on how account abstraction enhances security and usability in everyday transactions.
Ambire integration of account abstraction sets it apart from existing browser wallets. This innovation allows the extension to support existing externally owned accounts (EOAs) and also unlock derived smart accounts without compromising the security of the EOA model.
“With the launch of our browser extension, we’re bridging the gap between traditional wallet models and the future of account abstraction,” said Ivo Georgiev, CEO of Ambire. “We are bringing our users a seamless way to transition from EOAs to smart accounts, providing both advanced security and enhanced usability. Ambire Legends is a critical part of this process, novelly educating and incentivizing users to experience the full potential of smart accounts in a way that’s both engaging and rewarding.”
Built for Ethereum and Layer 2 power users, the extension emphasizes advanced security measures, such as preventing infinite approval and supporting hardware wallets, ensuring that Ambire stands out in the $10 billion (and growing) addressable market for wallet solutions.
About AmbireAmbire Wallet is a secure, open-source, self-custodial (hybrid) wallet supporting Smart Accounts and Basic Accounts (EOAs) on Ethereum and EVM networks like Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, and many more. Offering smart accounts, hardware wallet support, the same address across all supported chains, transactions batching and simulation, and the ability to cover gas fees in stablecoins or ERC-20 tokens, navigating Web3 with Ambire Wallet is a breeze and safer than ever.
The wallet is available on the web as a mobile app,and soon, it will be a browser extension for Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera, and Firefox.
