BingX opened trading in more than 7,000 US stocks and exchange-traded funds today (Tuesday), routing orders through US brokerage infrastructure provider Alpaca. Users pay for the shares in USDT or USDC drawn from their existing crypto balances, the exchange said.
It is the second crypto exchange in two days to sign up Alpaca. Bybit opened more than 1,000 US stocks and ETFs paid in USDC yesterday (Monday), with the same firm executing and holding the shares.
London's trading industry is coming home!
Both venues already sell leveraged contracts on US stocks. Cash shares take them a step further into retail brokerage.
Crypto exchanges handled more than $1.32 trillion in perpetual futures on traditional assets between January and May, compared with $104.21 billion in all of 2025, according to CoinGecko data.
Equity-linked contracts still made up less than 1% of traditional stock market volume in May, CoinGecko found.
Crypto Venues Move Onto Broker Turf
Bybit took the contract route first. It has offered stock contracts for difference (CFDs) on a MetaTrader 5 account since June 2025, alongside FX and gold, through an entity licensed in Mauritius.
BingX built its own traditional-asset book on perpetual futures, which it says passed 500 listed markets in August, among them gold, crude oil, the S&P 500 and single stocks.
Kraken went to Alpaca earlier. It began offering more than 11,000 US stocks and ETFs through Alpaca in April 2025 to its American clients.
Kraken's parent Payward and Canadian bank BMO later provided debt as part of a $435 million financing package for Alpaca in July.
Bitget picked different partners. Its Stock+ service, launched in June, converts deposits into USDC and buys US shares through RQD Clearing and Atomic Vaults Securities, according to Bitget.
Shares Instead of Tokens
Kevin Lee, chief strategy officer at BingX, called the launch "another step in making global market opportunities more accessible to BingX users."
Alpaca handles custody, clearing and settlement, and users buy US securities rather than tokenized versions of them, according to the release. Trading runs 24 hours a day, five days a week, with market and limit orders and a minimum of $5.
OKX is taking a different route with Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the owner of the New York Stock Exchange. Their joint venture plans round-the-clock trading in 63 tokenized US stocks.
Clients who complete a first stock trade receive $10 of Tesla shares under a launch promotion. The release names no eligible countries.
BingX was founded in 2018 and says it has more than 40 million users.
