Amsterdam, October 17th, 2024 – Coinscribble by Coinbound / Cryptorefills, a global leader in enabling everyday purchases with cryptocurrency, is excited to announce an integration with World to launch two innovative Mini Apps within World App. This integration empowers nearly 15 million World App users to seamlessly convert their Worldcoin tokens into real-world goods and services (available in markets where the token is available).
Through this integration, World has launched two Mini Apps powered by Cryptorefills within World App that leverage Cryptorefills’ global gift card and mobile top up catalogue. Users can now access these two Mini Apps directly within the World App on both iOS and Android platforms:
- Mobile Top-Up Mini App: Allows users to recharge mobile airtime and purchase mobile data bundles from over 600 mobile operators across 180 countries. Simply enter your mobile number, select your operator and amount, and complete the purchase with Worldcoin tokens—all without leaving World App.
- Services Mini App: Enables the purchase of gift cards from over 5,000 brands across 150 countries. Whether you’re looking to shop online, subscribe to streaming services, or buy game credits, the process is straightforward: select the brand and amount, and pay securely with Worldcoin tokens within World App.
From a technical standpoint, all transactions within the Mini Apps are processed on the newly released World Chain, a Layer 2 blockchain built on the OP Stack and part of the Superchain, designed for maximum scalability and efficiency. This ensures that users experience minimal transaction fees and swift processing times, making the use of cryptocurrency more practical for everyday purchases.
In addition to the Mini Apps, Cryptorefills has also integrated the World Chain network into its own platform. Customers can now make purchases on Cryptorefills.com using Worldcoin tokens, with the flexibility to choose between the Optimism network or the new World Chain Layer 2 network.
This integration shows Cryptorefills’ commitment to serving as a real-world off-ramping partner for major blockchains, wallets, and premier Web3 companies. Integrating the Cryptorefills’ store into World App demonstrates how blockchain projects can offer tangible value to their communities.
