- Fixed Rate Rewards is a new addition to Kraken Earn that gives eligible US accredited investors a fixed APY of up to 7% on cash and stablecoin balances.
- Clients pick a 3, 6, 12, or 18-month term and lock in their rate for the full duration, with no rate drift.
- Rewards compound weekly into the locked allocation, and clients can opt in to auto-renew so balances renew automatically at maturity.
- Available on USD, EUR, USDT, USDC, and USDG balances, in Kraken’s Consumer and Pro apps, on web and mobile.
If you’re holding cash or stablecoins on Kraken and want a straightforward way to put them to work, we built this for you. Fixed Rate Rewards is a new addition to Kraken Earn that gives eligible US accredited investors a fixed, locked-in yield of up to 7% APY, for a term you choose.
Here’s the idea: instead of a rate that drifts while you’re not looking, you pick a lockup term, 3, 6, 12, or 18 months, for eligible fiat and stablecoin balances. Whatever rate you see when you lock in is the rate you keep for the entire term. No drift, no adjustments, no surprises later.
“Many Kraken clients holding cash or stablecoins want the same thing: a clear, fixed-rate yield on that cash,” said John Zettler, Director of Product, Kraken Earn & Trade. “Fixed Rate Rewards provides that certainty. You choose how long to lock your cash & stables, agree on a rate, and then get a steady stream of predictable cash rewards.”
How it works- Choose a term. Pick 3, 6, 12, or 18 months. Longer terms generally come with higher rates.
- Lock your rate. The rate you see at allocation is fixed for the full term. If rates change later, it only affects new allocations, not the one you already locked in.
- Earn automatically. Your rewards compound weekly, right into your allocation.
- Set it and leave it. Turn on auto-renew when you allocate, or toggle it anytime during the term. When on, your balance renews at maturity at the prevailing rate for the same term. When off, your funds are simply returned when the term ends.
Fixed Rate Rewards works with eligible fiat (USD, EUR) and stablecoin (USDT, USDC, and USDG) balances, and you’ll find it in both Kraken’s Consumer and Pro apps, on web or mobile.
Ready to lock in your rate? Eligible clients can get started today in the Earn section of the Kraken app or on the web, or on Kraken Pro mobile or Kraken Pro web.
