Trump’s Accounts Put as Much as $100,000 Into Strategy Stock in July, Disclosure Shows

President Donald Trump’s investment accounts put between $50,001 and $100,000 into Strategy stock on July 27, one of several crypto-linked trades in a financial disclosure the Office of Government Ethics released on Tuesday.

Three days earlier, on July 24, the same accounts bought another $1,001 to $15,000 of Strategy, along with Coinbase shares in that range. They had sold $1,001 to $15,000 of Strategy on July 8. On July 29, they sold $15,001 to $50,000 each of bitcoin miners MARA Holdings and CleanSpark. The two Strategy purchases add up to as much as $115,000.

The report, OGE Form 278-T, records 1,156 July trades in all. It lists each one in a dollar band, with no exact amount, execution time or price.

Where Strategy Traded

Strategy’s stock set its 2026 closing low of $82.31 on June 26, Nasdaq data shows. Shares ended July 24 at $91.67 and July 27, the day of the larger purchase, at $98.65. On Tuesday, when the report came out, the stock closed at $167.33.

Across all 1,156 July transactions, the trading came to roughly $79 million to $270 million, CNBC calculated.

‘Independently Managed’

“President Trump’s stock and bond portfolio is independently managed by third-party financial institutions,” White House spokesman Davis Ingle told CNBC when asked about the filing. “Neither President Trump nor any member of his family has any ability to direct, influence, or provide input regarding how the portfolio is invested or when investments are bought or sold.”

The disclosure comes a week after the Senate failed to advance the Clarity Act on Sept. 15. Democrats withheld their votes, saying the bill still lacked strong enough limits on crypto profits for Trump, his family and administration officials. That dispute centered on the family’s crypto ventures, including World Liberty Financial and the TRUMP memecoin.
