The famous Hï Ibiza nightclub has launched what it claims is the world’s first permanent art gallery inside a club.
This summer, Hï Ibiza teamed up with The Night League and London-based W1 Curates to create something completely new. The gallery mixes cutting-edge technology with works from some of today’s most famous digital artists, including Beeple and Mad Dog Jones.
How the Gallery WorksThe art experience starts before visitors even enter the club. British graffiti artist Mr Cenz created a mural at the entrance. When people scan it with their phones using the W1 Curates app, they see an augmented reality animation come to life.
Inside the club, the gallery features several types of artwork. There are two sculptures by KidEight, a British graphic designer who has worked with hip-hop stars like Gucci Mane and 2 Chainz. The space also includes a six-foot tall green gummy bear sculpture by American street artist WhIsBe.
The main gallery space uses large screens and special lighting that changes to match each artist’s style. The technology can adapt the room’s colors and mood based on what art is being shown. This creates a different experience for each exhibition.
Featured Artists and Rotating ExhibitionsThe gallery showcases work from several well-known digital artists. Besides Beeple and Mad Dog Jones, visitors can see pieces by Annibale Siconolfi, Ash Thorp, Six N. Five, and Shiro. Each artist brings their own style to the space.
The exhibitions change every two weeks during the summer season. This means people can visit multiple times and see completely different artworks. Some pieces are also available for purchase, giving collectors a chance to buy art in an unusual setting.
W1 Curates designed the space to work with any artist’s vision. The gallery can transform its look and feel using projections and lighting to match whatever art is being displayed.
The Technology Behind the ExperienceThe gallery uses several types of advanced technology to create its immersive experience. Large LED screens cover multiple surfaces, creating what the organizers call “mirrored LED gallery walls.” These screens can display moving images and interactive content.

The space combines digital displays with physical sculptures and installations. This mix of real and virtual elements creates a unique environment where traditional art gallery rules don’t apply.
Custom-built display technology allows the gallery to show different types of digital art, from simple images to complex interactive pieces. The sound system and lighting work together to create a complete sensory experience.
Industry Context and Market ChangesThe art gallery launch comes at an interesting time for digital art and NFTs. The NFT market has seen major changes since its peak in 2021, when trading volumes reached $2.9 billion. By the first quarter of 2025, those volumes had dropped significantly to just $23.8 million.
Despite market challenges, artists continue exploring new ways to show their work. Physical venues for digital art have been growing, with spaces like Bright Moments opening in Venice, California in 2021.
The Hï Ibiza project represents a different approach. Instead of creating a traditional gallery space, it puts art directly into a social environment where people are already gathering for entertainment.
Launch Events and Future PlansThe gallery’s opening included talks by industry experts and artists. Speakers included representatives from W1 Curates, Seedphrase, and Bitcoin historian Smashtoshi. Artist Trevor Jones also participated, followed by a DJ set in an area called the Wild Corner.
Hï Ibiza has been named the world’s best club by DJ Mag for four years in a row. Adding an art gallery to such a high-profile venue brings digital art to people who might never visit a traditional gallery.
The organizers say their goal is to help guests “explore, pause and connect with the art beyond the dancefloor.” They want to create a space where art and nightlife can exist together.
The project focuses on what they call “cinematic design to surreal architecture and cyberpunk storytelling.” This approach matches the futuristic themes often found in digital art.
What This Means for Art and NightlifeThis project could change how people think about both art galleries and nightclubs. Traditional galleries are often quiet, serious spaces where people speak in whispers. Nightclubs are loud, energetic places focused on music and dancing.
The Hï Ibiza gallery tries to combine the best of both worlds. It gives artists a new way to show their work to audiences who might not visit regular galleries. At the same time, it gives club-goers something extra to experience during their night out.
For digital artists, this opens up new possibilities for showing their work. Instead of competing for space in traditional galleries, they can reach audiences in completely different settings.
