Jupiter Lend Faces Liquidity CrunchOn October 30, Jupiter addressed withdrawal delays through its official X account, explaining that broader market conditions had created a liquidity shortage across its lending pools.
Due to broader market conditions, there is currently a liquidity crunch impacting withdrawals.
Market conditions will cause users to deposit or repay their loans. As they do so, withdrawals will be able to process again.
This is normal and expected during events like today’s. Liquidity will soon be available again.
The protocol is functioning as expected and all funds are safe.

Withdrawals would be resumed as market players deposit their assets or repay their loans, the protocol said. It said the situation was normal at all times of significant market volatility and all funds belonging to users are safe.
The announcement came amid increasing security fears surrounding Binance and market actions by the broader crypto sector. Jupiter had earlier said that it was keeping an eye on development and had never had any direct exposure to Binance.
Users asked how there could be any contradiction between the earlier reassurance and the delays in withdrawal, to which Jupiter responded that both the things were correct.
It noted that Binance couldn’t raise any money and the protocol didn’t lose any. The withdrawal pressure is not directly related to the exchange incident, the team said and instead is an indicator of reactions from the wider market.

Why Are Withdrawals Being Delayed?Jupiter Lend gifts work by means of lending pools where a deposited good can be borrowed by items like Borrow and Multiply. This is because not all deposits will be available immediately as some assets may be used to make loans on the go.
Liquidity may not keep up with the demand for it in periods of heavy withdrawal demand. The repayment of borrowers and fresh money for deposits are therefore significant in restoring withdrawal capacity.
USDC Withdrawable Balance Raises ConcernsJupiter’s API data aptly pointed to the magnitude of the liquidity situation. Around 418.5 million USDCs in Earn deposit claims, with accrued interest, were visible at 7.14 a.m. ET, whereas 3.35 USDCs were immediately available to withdraw.
This difference reflects the amount of the claims of depositors serviceable by the bank at a given time versus the liquid funds held by the bank. That is not, however, a finding of loan impairment nor a determination that depositors have been losing money on the underlying loans.
In addition to the above, Jupiter documents further withdrawals based on available amounts and permission to withdraw. Users might have to make smaller withdrawals or wait for returns of liquidity.
The withdrawal scenario comes amidst worries over Binance’s security breach, estimated to cause around $6.3 billion damage to Binance.
