It has been reported the fact that Uniswap founder Hayden Adams just suffered a Twitter breach. Check out the latest reports about this below.
Uniswap founder suffers breach on TwitterOn Thursday afternoon, the Twitter account belonging to Hayden Adams, the creator of the DeFi cryptocurrency exchange Uniswap, was hacked.
The hacker sent out several tweets containing links to scam websites. In response, The Uniswap Foundation issued a tweet stating that Hayden’s account was hacked and warning people not to click on any links in similar tweets that may appear.
One of the tweets sent from Adams’ account urged UniswapX users to verify if they are eligible for gifted $UNI tokens by visiting a Russian-hosted website. It was later discovered that the website was registered on the day of the hack.
The tweet offering the $UNI tokens has since been removed, but subsequent tweets with apparent scam links continued to be posted on the account as late as 4:43 p.m. in New York.
The Block reached out to Uniswap for comment, but they have not yet responded.
MetaMask addresses ETH wallet hackThere have been reports of Ethereum (ETH) wallets being hacked for millions of dollars, but the crypto wallet MetaMask has confirmed that these attacks are not caused by weaknesses in their software.
The online publication, the Daily Hodl, has reported on this issue.
The CEO of MyCrypto, Taylor Monahan, revealed that there had been a significant wallet-draining operation that had taken place since December 2022. 5,000 ETH had been siphoned across 11 different chains in this operation.
It appears that the attacks are specifically targeting large wallets belonging to “OG” Ethereum holders who practice high levels of security.
“For the past 48 hours, I’ve been unwinding a massive wallet draining operation. I don’t know how big it is, but since Dec 2022, it’s drained 5000+ ETH and ??? in tokens/NFTs (non-fungible tokens)/coins across 11+ chains…”
