Key Takeaways:
- Ripple has begun operations in Türkiye under the RLUSD brand with the founding of relationships between itself and BiLira, Bitexen and Bitlo.
- Through the end of 2024, RLUSD has been funded for two-and-a-half years, expanding its market cap to $1.7B.
- Initiatives are supported by the expansion of one of the largest crypto trading areas on the planet, having close to $200 billion worth of transactions take place annually.
Ripple is pushing to expand its stablecoin RLUSD to become more popular around the world by entering Türkiye, a world’s largest crypto market. This transfer will add direct access to a stable and regulated digital currency to Turkish institutions, in the face of ongoing growth in the use of stablecoins and blockchain-based financial services.
Ripple Expands RLUSD Into TürkiyeAs a result of the new partnerships signed by Ripple with local crypto platforms BiLira, Bitexen, and Bitlo, institutional users can benefit from RLUSD in Türkiye.
The launch is a further sign of Ripple’s push to establish itself for enterprise adoption as a compliance-focused stablecoin. RLUSD has become a $1.7billion market cap entity since it launched late in 2024, as more institutions have been taking a stake in its regulated exposure to digital dollars.
Ripple says that the stablecoin will be used for payments, collateral management, treasury operations, and tokenization – all of which are emerging fields where regulated stablecoins are filling a role in financial infrastructure.

Türkiye Emerges as a Strategic Stablecoin MarketTürkiye is now one of the biggest crypto markets in the world. According to data Ripple cited from Chainalysis, the economy has nearly $200 billion worth of crypto transactions per annum, underscoring its massive size when compared to the rest of the MENA region.
There have recently been impressive retail demand and regulatory developments in the country that have supported crypto adoption. Türkiye launched a licensing regime for digital asset service providers in 2024, and it was put under the supervision of the Capital Markets Board for increased legal certainty of the institutional participants.
Local Exchanges Back RLUSD RolloutThe three local partners will act as access points for Turkish institutions wanting to be connected to RLUSD.
BiLira, which is famous for building the TRYB stablecoin economy, stated that it’s aligning with its purpose of bringing conventional finance together with digital belongings. Bitexen spoke about RLUSD’s existing international infrastructure as a servicer of compliance USD products, while Bitlo discussed increasing interest in secure digital dollar products among local users and entrepreneurs.
RLUSD provides regulated access to global liquidity, with U.S. dollar denominated offering, which may be attractive for companies that are involved in the cross-border payment and treasury management.
Ripple Strengthens Long-Term PresenceRipple has also revealed a new collaboration with the University of Istanbul, Turkey, under its University Blockchain Research Initiative, other than its stablecoin launch.
The projects will involve research in the blockchain field, graduate fellowships and the installation of an XRP Ledger validator node in the University’s premises. Ripple is launching the initiative to support the future generation of blockchain developers and researchers in Türkiye, Ripple stated.
This rollout deposits another biggest market in the Ripple’s stablecoin network, which already includes platforms in the leading global markets.
